To make the Byzantine Necklace we start with lengths of solid 14 karat gold wire which we wrap around an arbor to form a tight gold coil. From this coil we cut individual rings of gold which will be knit toghther. Over 350 rings are cut and carefully hand-linked to form the chain. When the desired length is reached, our toggle and loop closure is added and a special gold tag with trademark and quality mark is affixed. This process of making a necklace takes an experienced goldsmith a day to complete.
